Our Beginnings

Thunder Lawns was founded with one goal in mind: to offer homeowners a truly innovative, educated, and climate friendly alternative to conventional lawn care. The spark for our company came from a frustrating personal experience when our founder, Federico, and his wife first became homeowners, they struggled to find a lawn service that was reliable, transparent, and mindful of the environment. The process was riddled with in-person estimates, outdated payment methods, and noisy gas-powered equipment that woke the baby at all hours.

Refusing to accept that this was “just how things were,” Federico channeled his lifetime fascination with technology to craft a better way. He imagined an all-electric lawn service that was both quieter and more customer-focused, offering instant online sign-ups, transparent pricing, and easy cancellation whenever needed. Thus, Thunder Lawns was born—a business built not just on cutting grass, but on cutting through all the outdated obstacles that keep homeowners from enjoying a peaceful, well-tended yard.

Meet the Founder

A native Texan, Federico grew up mowing lawns for neighbors and grandparents alike— earning pocket money, learning about equipment maintenance, and fostering a hands-on love of the outdoors. As an adult, he spent years in media but never lost his passion for technology or that nostalgic memory of freshly mowed grass on a sunny day. When he became a father, Federico found himself questioning how his work would shape the world his son would inherit. The answer came in the form of Thunder Lawns, where he could combine:

Our Mascot: More Than Just a Logo

If you’ve seen our branding, you know we don’t hold back when it comes to electric energy. Inspired by the misconception that electric equipment lacks power, we developed a mascot that’s anything but timid. Part Zeus, part Thor, he wields a lightning bolt and stands as a reminder that electric lawn care can be downright mighty, delivering cleaner, quieter results without sacrificing an ounce of performance. We haven’t named him yet, but stay tuned for future announcements!

Our Vision for the Future

Though we just officially launched services, Thunder Lawns is already preparing to expand in the coming years. We plan to franchise our concept across various locations and states, always ensuring that any added services remain all-electric. Our dream is to power our facilities with on-site solar, drastically reducing our carbon footprint while staying at the cutting edge of green technology. In doing so, we aim to make quiet, emission-free lawn care a nationwide standard—one yard at a time.
